Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine – 18 years in practice.
Dr. Kelly Smiley was born and raised in Hanover Pennsylvania. She has traveled extensively, spending 4 years in Japan teaching English and working part time as a veterinary technician on Yokosuka Naval Air Station. She graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelors degree in microbiology and earned her veterinary degree from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine 4 years later. She commissioned in the US army and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base for 3 years, caring for the military working dogs and for the service member’s pets. During her time in the military, she completed the animal acupuncture course at Colorado State University. She relocated to Cheyenne Wyoming and worked for a busy small animal practice before accepting a position as a contract veterinarian on FE Warren Air Force Base, once again caring for the working dogs and privately owned pets.
Dr Smiley moved back to Hanover Pennsylvania to be closer to family and friends. She joined our practice in April 2016 and is very pleased to be part of such a progressive and compassionate practice.
