I grew up in a very small town in the Lehigh Valley and knew from the beginning I was going to be a veterinarian. By 11 I was working in a horse barn cleaning stalls and training for a chance to ride. I was blessed to grow up in a very outdoors- and nature-involved family.
I attended St George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed my clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania, spending a majority of my time at the New Bolton Center and commuting into Philadelphia.
My veterinary career thus far has spanned mixed animal practice, Low Stress and Fear Free Certified practice, primarily small animal practice, and rescue and TNR practice. I enjoy the variety veterinary medicine provides- preventative care, veterinary public health, behavior, and education.
In 2023 I moved to the Gettysburg area and took on an 1890 home on a rural property and have been wrangling thorns and poison to reclaim the land, woods, and pastures as well as building a 1.5 acre garden and orchard. The farm is currently home to my Quarter Horse Damien, his companions Mona and Lenor (miniature donkeys), a 20yr old cat named Myrtle, my Borzoi Jordi, my aquarium I’ve moved 3 times, and the large Koi pond that came with the house.
I enjoy reading, sewing and quilting, travel, various other arts/crafts, cooking/baking, Volvos, relearning history, pursuing rural land conservation and forest stewardship, and just being outside.
