Kayla is a Certified Veterinary Assistant that began working at Confederate Woods in the Summer of 2018. She has worked with animals most of her life, from volunteering at a local humane society while in middle and high school, and working at a doggie daycare/boarding facility for 2 years in Missouri, along with being in charge of taking care of the family pets.

She has a Bichon Poo/Eskimo mix named Bailey, two sister cats named Inky and Blinky (whom are siblings of Dr. Skoog’s cat Clyde), and two older cats named Ari and Addy.

Kayla interests include drawing, hiking, video games, and all kinds of animals – even insects and arachnids! She is often called upon to rescue spiders that stray into the clinic (for which the team is VERY thankful!).
